Challenge
Verizon wanted to create last-minute content leveraging their NFL player sponsorships during the NFL Draft.
Solution
We focused on Marcus Lattimore, a University of South Carolina running back who was coming back from a devastating knee injury and entering the draft. I “helicoptered in” the day before the shoot to scout locations in his home town and establish contact (and trust) with the people that knew Marcus best. In twenty-four hours I was able to meet, get contact info, or pre-interview his high school coach, mom, and minister, all of which give emotional depth and background to Marcus’ story.
